Guacamole is a classic and absolute best. Marc’s Step by step recipe, easy to make and uses fresh ingredients. This guacamole recipe turns out perfectly every time especially when I show you how to choose your avocadoes.

WHAT IS GUACAMOLE?

It is a Mexican avocado-based spread or salad which became internationally famous. Traditionally made by mashing a ripe avocado with a molcajete adding, onion, tomatoes, cilantro, chile serrano, lime juice, and salt.

INGREDIENTS

3 ripe avocados
3 tbsp red onions
1 tbsp chili Serrano
3 tbsp fresh coriander
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp lime Juice
4 tbsp ripe tomato

EQUIPMENTS

Molcajete
Knife
Medium Bowl

METHOD OF COOKING
Step 1

How to choose a ripe avocado. They are essential to great guacamole. When you choose your avocado, Gently squeeze the avocado with the palm of your hand, it should not be very firm either very ripped or soft, it should yield slightly then it’s ready to eat. If it is firm, it needs a day or more. If it gives easily, it’s overripe and possibly browns from the inside.

Step 2

With your fingers remove the stem gently at the top of the avocado. If it’s green from the underneath it means you’ve found an avocado that’s ready to eat. The type of avocado also is very essential.

Step 3

Slice three ripe avocados in half, remove the pit using the knife and scoop them into a molcajete or medium bowl. Use a fork or pestle to lightly mash them to a chunky-smoothy texture. Add the finely chopped onions, grilled chilli or jalapeno, finely chopped cilantro, chopped tomato, lime juice, salt and mix everything together voila!! Check one of Marc’s recipe using guacamole. THE BEST AVOCADO

The best avocados to for guacamole are the little Hass varieties. Little Hass are great for guacamole, they are dark green-coloured with bumpy skin. You might be tempted to buy the big avocados because it means more guacamole, but those avocados contain more water which doesn’t make for great guacamole.

HOW TO STORE HOMEMADE GUACAMOLE

Place the seed in the guacamole it will prevent the discolouration then poor Little of Water and Seal properly in plastic wrap, the idea is to create a proper seal between the guacamole & air to keep it from turning brown.
